Tragic passing of former top Sarel Cilliers student

He has been described as a quiet, humble and assuming young boy who had an infectious smile.

The Glencoe community is dealing with the loss of a talented youngster, Ziphozonke Qwabe.
Ziphozonke, a former student at Sarel Cilliers passed away in Newcastle from Meningitis. He complained of severe headaches a few days before he passed away.
Ziphozonke matriculated from Sarel Cilliers in 2012 before completing his Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Zululand. At the beginning of this year, he enrolled to do his honours degree. He has been described as a quiet, humble and an unassuming young boy who had an infectious smile.
Teachers agreed that he was always respectful and concerned about his studies.
He is survived by his mother, a teacher at Mampunga Primary School in Nquthu and siblings, Nontobeko, Sbongakonke, Zamaguni and Fanelesibonge. His father passed away in 2004.
