A former bodyguard of Dudu Mazibuko, who served as mayor of Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality, was shot dead on Friday night (October 20) in Ezakheni.
The bodyguard was riddled with bullets by unknown gunmen.
He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
The suspect/s fled the scene.
