A 46-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the shooting that took place on the N11 on October 5 appeared in court on Wednesday (October 18).
On the day of the shooting, a vehicle with three occupants was travelling along the N11 in the Elandslaagte area when gunmen opened fire on the vehicle.

Two of the occupants were killed, while a third was injured and managed to flee.
The deceased have been identified as 37-year-old Sifiso Mbongwa and 21-year-old Sthabiso Wonderboy.
The case was remanded to October 25.
