Madadeni SAPS are investigating a case of murder after a 39-year-old man, who was stabbed multiple times at Lister Farm on October 5, died.
Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications and Liaison Officer, Captain Jabulani Ncube, said the victim was found by his neighbours.
“They summoned for the police and medical assistance.”
An ambulance arrived at the scene and rushed the victim to hospital. Unfortunately, all attempts to save the victim’s life failed, as he succumbed to his injuries later that evening.
“Prior to the stabbing, it is alleged the victim’s neighbours heard a loud bang coming from his house, followed by cries for help. Upon investigation, the neighbours recalled seeing six young men flee the scene on foot.”
The motive for the murder is still unknown, and remains subject to police investigations.
