Leadership and intellect celebrated at Sarel Cilliers
As a school, we are immensely proud of the achievements of our learners in the various academic subjects and overall.
On Friday, October 20, the annual academic prize-giving took place. It is an event that we associate with the recognition of academic excellence, but also acknowledging the leadership potential in our learners, present, and future.

They worked really hard to achieve a standard of excellence and it is a pleasure to celebrate with them.
The Nico Prinsloo Ambassador’s trophy awarded to the learner who honoured the school in various fields went to Georgia Viljoen.
The Gold badge for the Dux-Learner that has Mathematical Literacy as part of a subject package went to Yashalin Rajaruthanum.

The Gold badge with the Laurel wreath for the Dux learner of 2017 was awarded to the Gr 12 learner who achieved the highest results with the subject packaging including Mathematics went to Georgia Viljoen.
The announcement of prefects is always one of the things our learners really look forward to.
The new head boy and head girl for 2017/2018 are Menzi Mabaso and Bongeka Lushaba.
