Public Safety and RTI impound cattle on the R103

Owners will be prosecuted and they will have to pay before getting their cattle back

RTI and Public Safety officers have been out on the R103 from early this morning (October 25), impounding cattle.

So far, three animals have been impounded.

The officers will be in the area the whole day, searching for more.

The cattle will be impounded in Ladysmith.

Owners will be prosecuted and they will have to pay before getting their cattle back.

The officers took the blistering heat in their stride in a bid to ensure that our roads are safe for everyone. They commented that it is better to have the animals safely locked up than to have them causing accidents.
