EVENT: Learn more about Martin Luther and the idea that changed the world

The screening will take place at Grace Park from 6pm on Tuesday, October 31, marking the 500th anniversary of the reformation.

Halloween lurks around the corner, yet the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation will not be participating in any spooky dealings this Halloween.

The Lutheran Church has invited the Newcastle community to the screening of Martin Luther, the idea that changed the world, narrated by Hugh Bonneville.

The movie highlights the rediscovery of the Gospel, forgiveness and a new life in Christ during the reformation.

The screening will take place at Grace Park from 6pm on Tuesday, October 31, marking the 500th anniversary of the reformation.

Through the movie, guests will be able to learn more about Martin Luther, his work, and the process that would bring far reaching renewal to theology, piety, language, media, politics and education.

Entrance is free.

Homemade bratwurst in bread-rolls will be served from 5pm, at the cost of R25.

Funds raised through the sales of food and drinks will go towards the running of St Martin’s Village.
