Naptosa hosts workshop on Learning Differences
Educators have a direct impact on shaping the lives of their learners in the classroom
Karrene Bloomgarden, who hails from New York City, presented an exceptionally interesting presentation at Estcourt Primary School on November 8.
Ms Bloomgarden dealt with the challenging topic of “Learning Differences” in a very innovative and interactive manner. She also demonstrated the use of toys and swooshballs and how these may be used to get the learners to focus and pay attention in class.

Educators needed to be informed that learning disabilities interfere with the ability to speak, read, write, spell or perform mathematical calculations.
She described learners who are impulsive and inattentive, but above all, Ms Bloomgarden concludes that educators have a direct impact on shaping the lives of their learners in the classroom.
