THE Vryheid Tourism Road Safety and Tourism Awareness Campaign will take place on December 13.

This annual highlight in the Vryheid Tourism calendar offers an opportunity for tourists passing through AbaQulusi to get a taste of the warmth and hospitality that has afforded Vryheid popularity among visitors and a reputation for its thriving tourism industry.

A road block will be set up along the R34 just outside of Vryheid and motorists will be handed goody bags with souvenirs and information about the local tourism industry as they pass through. The event will be opened by AbaQulusi Mayor, Hon Jerry Sibiya and local businesses and organisations will take part in ensuring that the roadblock stands out and remains in the hearts and minds of visitors who experience the pleasure of passing through our beautiful town.
