Woman attacked by Alsation in Strathmore Park
The dog pushed over the pram and attacked the mother

A young mother was attacked by an Alsation while pushing her baby in a pram in the Strathmore Park area.
The gate had been left open and the dog attacked the woman as she passed the house, pushing over the pram and biting the woman on her feet and hands.

Her husband managed to chase the dog away before rushing his wife to hospital.
When the owners of the dog were contacted, they claimed to be out of town, however, neighbours reported seeing them at home.
The attack happened on December 21 and the woman it is the second time that the dog is believed to have attacked someone.
The mother is receiving rabies vaccinations following the attack.
