42-year-old stabbed to death in Loskop, two are arrested

Efficient investigation led to the arrests of two people suspected of killing a man.

The body of a 42-year-old man was discovered in Mqendandaba, Loskop on the morning of January 21.

He had sustained several stab wounds to his body.

“Detectives gathered valuable information at the crime scene and by late afternoon they had netted a suspect, aged 30. He was arrested in the Mqendandaba area and was found in possession of property that belonged to the deceased,” explained police spokesperson Captain Charmaine Struwig.

Further investigations subsequently resulted in a second arrest of a 19-year-old. Both suspects appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on January 23, where they faced charges of murder.
