An 18-year-old learner has been arrested for the burglary at Sizimele High School.
It is believed that the learner broke a window and stole textbooks, exercise books, instruments, rulers and a school stamp, during the day.
Everything that was stolen was later recovered from the learner.
He was then arrested and investigations continue.
In another incident, sporting equipment valued at R14 000 was stolen from Phunguphungu Primary School.
A football kit, soccer jerseys, soccer balls and volleyballs were among the items taken.
