Dannhauser SAPS recently arrested a 36-year-old suspect for illegally being in possession of live ammunition.
According to Dannhauser SAPS Communications and Liaison Officer, Sergeant Mfanafuthi Nyembe, Constable P.G. Nkosi had received a tip-off informing the SAPS of a suspect who was believed to be in possession of an illegal firearm at a particular address.

“Police quickly responded to the said house and searched the property for the firearm. However, instead the police found a box containing live rounds of 9mm ammunition,” he added.
Police then requested the suspect produce a valid firearm permit, which the suspect admitted to not having.
He was subsequently arrested and charged accordingly and will appear in the Dannhauser Magistrate’s Court soon.
