Gushing storm water has caused utter devastation at a home in Papkuilsfontein.

Storm water pipes that were laid by the local municipality last week channeled the strong flow of water towards the family home.

The boundary wall collapsed from the sheer force of the fast-flowing water.

Water then gushed into the yard, flooding the home completely, damaging vehicles and the back boundary wall.

In utter despair, the family is busy with a clean-up.

“We just heard the water gushing and then saw it all over,” said a family member.

Family and neighbours are assisting with the clean-up.
