A 19-year-old man was arrested on Thursday (February 22) after he broke into a house in the Burford area of Ladysmith the night before.
The teenager broke a window of the residence during the course of the evening and managed to steal a cell-phone through the window.
The homeowner was awoken by the sound of breaking glass and then heard the suspect’s voice, complaining about the phone not being to his liking.
The thief then threw the phone back into the room, all the while complaining that he was looking for a touchscreen phone and that the one he had stolen was just not good enough.
