The Municipality have now commented on this matter, stating that they are aware of the condition of Princess Margaret Street .
The street has been neglected for years and the signs of deterioration are clearly visible. This is just one of many areas in Ladysmith falling into a state of disrepair.
There are potholes, dug-up areas of the road filled with gravel, and cracks in the road with grass and other vegetation growing through them.

Municipal Communications Manager, Mr S Maphalala, comments in saying: “The municipality currently has not enough budget to do the full road maintenance for the road mentioned, however the reactive maintenance will be considered in order to address the condition of the road. The team will be sent to repair the potholes and also do re-instatements”.
