Owners of land surrounding Greenwich Farm noticed vehicles and technical staff on site.

One farmer claimed there was drilling underway.

It is believed the drilling was for core samples.

This ralted to an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), as part of the proposed landfill at the farm.

The municipality provided an official response on Monday morning.

In it, it was confirmed the landfill project was currently at the EIA stage.
