Acaciavale Primary School fête a huge success

The school is also planning upcoming events as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations

Acaciavale Primary held a fête at the school grounds on Saturday (March 17).

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Acaciavale Primary School (APS) and the fête was held to celebrate this milestone. The school is also planning upcoming events as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations.

The fête started in the morning and continued until late at night, with plenty of stalls catering to just about everyone’s taste.

A tuck shop and a tea garden silenced the hunger pangs and quenched people’s thirst. Not only that, but there was also a programme jam-packed with lots of entertainment for all ages.

The cold weather did little to dampen fête-goers’ spirits as they ambled from stall to stall and soaked up the festive atmosphere. To add to the entertainment, a show & shine / sound competition was put on by Masons Car Audio.

The management of the school, educators and governing body members were on the ball in making sure that safety was a priority and that everything went smoothly on the day.

Young and old also enjoyed the rescue demo by Sharaj Ambulance Services, ER24 and Public Safety. The little ones showed off their kicks and punches in a karate demo, and Levana Sungeeth entertained the crowd with lovely melodies.

Ending off the night was a bhangra that saw everyone dancing up a storm.

The school would like to thank the community, the sponsors and all who helped make the day a success.
