Juvenile Mozambique Spitting Cobra found in Ladysmith home

A juvenile cobra poses a bigger threat than a larger specimen, as they move very fast and are more difficult to spot due to their size

During the past few weeks, local snake expert Fanie Cilliers has been inundated with snake calls.

Most of the calls he has been responding to have been from stressed-out homeowners who have encountered snakes in their homes.

A call from a resident of Chisty Place was no different; a snake had been found in their home.

Fanie responded to the scene and found a juvenile Mozambique Spitting Cobra at the house.

A juvenile cobra poses a bigger threat than a larger specimen, as they move very fast and are more difficult to spot due to their small size.

Fanie removed the snake and safely released it away from town on a farm near Van Reenen.
