A helping hand to the needy

The Duma family appreciates what the SACP has done for them.

The Duma family house, situated alongside the Dundee and Wasbank Roads, was engulfed by fire and burnt down on Monday, April 9, leaving the family destitute as they lost all their belongings and were only left with the clothes on their backs.
The South African Communist Party (SACP) of Endumeni Sub-District leadership, together with ANC Cllr Mahaye and ANC Cllr Zwane, visited the Duma family to hand out donations such as blankets, pots, groceries, clothes and many other necessities.

“We lost all our clothes and food and watched as our whole lives burned to ashes. We are very thankful for the donations we received. If it wasn’t for the SACP members we don’t know how we would survive,” said Sipho Duma a family member.

“The SACP calls all members of the community to be activists and lend a hand to needy families wherever they can,” said SACP Endumeni Sub-District Co-ordinator AZ Sadeck.
