Massive dagga tree grows undisturbed in plain sight at Plaza shopping centre in Ladysmith

Many drug raids are conducted in the area, yet the tree stands untouched and seems to have become a part of the scenery

A massive dagga tree is growing, undisturbed, in the Plaza area of Ladysmith.

A motorist noticed the tree and contacted a Ladysmith Gazette journalist, shocked at the size of the tree that everyone can see as plain as day.

He added that many people use the Plaza to shop and board taxis, and police officers drive past the tree every single day, so he asks how it’s possible that the tree has not been removed.

Many drug raids are conducted in the area, yet the tree stands untouched and has become a part of the scenery.

“It has stood there for so long! Maybe people just don’t notice it anymore!” quipped the incredulous motorist.
