Estcourt Round Table 74 Winter Knights begin their collection drive

Locals are encouraged to donate generously and chase away the winter chills for someone in need

A common conversation starter these days is the chilly weather, with many ominously saying ‘winter is moving in.’

Yes, the colder winter temperatures have started to kick in during the mornings and evenings and cuddling up next to a warm fire with a hot beverage seems like heaven when temperatures plummet.

However, the sad reality is that many people do not have this comfort, with some people going without extra blankets or warm clothes during winter.

It is with this in mind that the Estcourt Round Table 74 hosts their Winter Knights initiatives.

The Tablers collect blankets, warm clothes and non-perishable food items, which will be distributed to Thembelisha Crèche.

This year’s Winter Knights collection drive will take place on June 8 at the Hillside Shopping Centre (Spar).
