26-year-old oSizweni man arrested for possession of drugs

A 26-year-old suspect was recently arrested in oSizweni, after he was found to be in possession of Mandrax.
According to Newcastle SAPS spokesperson, Captain Jabulani Ncube, an Intelligence Driven Operation was conducted by members of the oSizweni Crime Prevention group, after information was received regarding drugs in the oSizweni Policing Area.

“Acting on this information, the members proceeded to a house in oSizweni Section B. On arrival, they searched the house and recovered one half Mandrax tablet, one quarter Mandrax tablet, one twenty Rand note and two ten Rand notes.”
All the drugs recovered were estimated to have a street value of around R500.
The arrested suspect will appear in the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court soon.
