School holiday tip: Drivers, be more cautious and take note of children playing in the road

Bear in mind that balls do get thrown out into the road, which causes many children to be out of their premises to fetch the ball, and anything can happen

Drivers have the responsibility of noting that there will be more child pedestrians during holidays and are asked to be extra cautious, drive slowly and ensure that all their car lights are working.

Many children play outside and play different types of sports in their yard, but bear in mind that balls do get thrown out into the road, which causes many children to be out of their premises to fetch the ball, and anything can happen.

With this in mind, drivers are urged to be more cautious.

Many children are seen riding their bicycles on roads and taking walks with their friends to tuck shops, etc. So, when driving, do not speed – bear in mind the safety of our kids.

Whether your kids are playing in the road outside your property, are in a vehicle with you, or using public transport, always do your best to ensure their well-being.
