Update: uThukela mayor speaks to angry workers to try and solve their problems

uThukela Mayor Siphiwe Mazibuko came out and spoke to the angry workers this morning (June 27) in Forbes Street outside the district municipality offices.
The group of workers who gathered outside the buildings this morning used TLBs to break through the gates of the building and proceeded to throw faeces at the entrance of the municipal offices.

The mayor, with a heavy police presence around him, spoke to the workers and said he is prepared to solve each and every problem they have.

The workers want all the temporary staff to be made permanent and the staff to get new uniforms.
The workers added that many of them have already received their money in their bank accounts.
