The French team stuck to their guns and cruised to victory in today's final, which saw no less than six goals being scored

The FIFA World Cup in Russia has finally come to an end, with France claiming the title over Croatia this evening (July 15) at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
The game saw drama unfolding during the first half, with an own goal by Mario Mandžukić in the 18th minute and a penalty given to France in the 38th minute.
Going into half-time, the score was 2-1 in France’s favour.
After the break, the Frenchmen took the game away from Croatia.
Mario Mandžukić made up for the own goal by netting one for Croatia, but it was a case of “too little, too late”.

Victory for France was sealed when Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappé scored in the second half to ensure that their team lifted the title in Russia this year.
The 2018 Soccer World Cup saw plenty of upsets and tears shed, with many big teams going out early in the competition.
However, the French team stuck to their guns and cruised to victory in today’s final.
The final score was: France 4 Croatia 2.
