The Cornfields Primary School volleyball team went head-to-head with other schools from neighbouring circuits during the winter games, which took place in Ladysmith on May 25.

After competing in various games, the Cornfields Primary team was announced as the overall winners.

They went on to represent the UThukela district on June 1, and versed other districts in Pietermaritzburg.

The school wishes to applaud the boys for their outstanding performance, together with their coach Mr HT Mthembu and say ‘well done boys.’ Thanks are extended to the Principal Mr BJ Mdakane, the sport committee, the School Governing Body and the school staff for their continuous support.
