Estcourt Secondary learners bleed for worthy cause

Learners got ready to roll up their sleeves and trade in their pens for a short while as they saved lives

Estcourt Secondary School learners got to put their pens down for up to 30 minutes to save lives with a pint of blood.

Between 9.30am to 2pm last Wednesday learners got ready to roll up their sleeves and trade in their pens for a short while as  they saved lives with their lifesaving blood donations.

35 learners attended the blood clinic, 25 bled the precious gift of life, and the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) team welcomed five new blood donors. The target was set at 30 for the clinic.

Simphiwe Mngomezulu supported the school blood donor clinic last week.

The SANBS team and Blood Clinic Co-ordinator, Mr SM Dawoonarain would like to thank the school staff including the learners for all generous and lifesaving blood donations.
