Community meeting held in Colenso to discuss service delivery issues the town faces

This has been the second meeting held in the town to keep everyone updated on the problems that they are facing

A community meeting was held on Monday (August 13) in Colenso, at the Colenso Club, to discuss the numerous service delivery issues the town faces.

The meeting was called by concerned residents who live in Colenso due to people feeling that their town is being neglected by the municipality.

This has been the second meeting held in the town to keep everyone updated on the problems that confronts them.

The residents also asked IFP councillor Abbas Warasally to attend the meeting so that he can assist in getting all the service delivery problems attended to.

“Since the first meeting held in June many of the problems have been fixed yet there are still outstanding issues that need to be addressed,” said councillor Warasally.

People who attended the meeting spoke about some of the problems they are concerned about, which include no streetlights, massive potholes, gravel roads, open electrical boxes and overgrown grass.

Clr Warasally will pursue the matter with the municipality and hopes to get all the issues solved.
