Vacant house becomes a haven for criminals

Members of the community claim that no one passes by this house once it is dark as criminals hide here and prey on members of the public passing by.

A HOUSE in the Kwa A area in Mondlo has been a cause for major concern as it reportedly houses criminals.

Members of the community claim that no one passes by this house once it is dark as criminals hide here and prey on members of the public passing by.

The Deputy Chairperson of the Zululand Crime Prevention task team, Mr Bonginkosi Ntuli said that he has taken the matter up with ward councillors and is hoping that the issue will be settled while it is still new.

“I have made the councillors aware of the dangers posed by this vacant house as it now houses criminals and is a cause for major concern,” said Mr Ntuli to the Mondlo Community Policing Forum (CPF) group.

Members of the Kwa A community are encouraged to be vigilant and rather choose safer routes than pass by this house when walking alone.
