Police investigate death of East Street resident

VRYHEID SAPS responded to reports of an alleged murder in East Street near the hospital last week Tuesday evening.

When they arrived at the scene, they found the lifeless body of Nkosinathi Leonard Hlengwa within the perimeter of his own yard, with a fatal head wound and a gash on his hand.

Further investigation revealed that the deceased may have fallen to his death and, at this point, foul play is not necessarily suspected.

An inquest has been opened into the death of Mr Hlengwa.
