Mother raped while walking her 3-year old home
An unknown male dragged the woman down the river banks where he forced her to lay down and raped her.
A MOTHER walking home along the Ekubungazeleni River in Nongoma was allegedly torn away from her three-year old daughter and raped on Friday afternoon.
Captain Nkosie Gwala, communications officer for the Zululand Cluster, said that an unknown male dragged the woman down the river banks where he forced her to lay down and raped her.

No arrests have been made at this stage and investigations are ongoing.
That night a couple was attacked in the Esikhaleni area in Nongoma. After hearing a loud bang at the door, a man unsuccessfully attempted to hold the door shut as armed robbers forced entry into his home.

The man was assaulted and robbed, while his girlfriend was raped. The couple was taken to Benedictine Hospital for medical attention. No arrests have yet been made.
