1. Swift action nabs bank robbers – Five armed men that stole R80 000 a bank in Nottingham Road were nabbed and the money recovered.

2. Estcourt’s bright spark – Shabeer Nabee obtained his NTC 6 with flying colours. Out of a total of 16 subjects, he obtained 11 distinctions and 5 B’s.

3. Flying high – The Estcourt Cricket Club rocketed to the top of the Midlands League after a splendid win against Noodsberg.
