Warning: Lion possibly on the loose between Winterton and Colenso

There have been unconfirmed reports of a lion on the loose between Winterton and Colenso.

The lion was evidently seen late this afternoon (November 8) near Bergsig School and Jollian Reeve.

People are urged to be cautious and vigilant in this area.

The lion is possibly heading in the direction of the highway.

It is known that there are no lions in game reserves in the area. However, if this is a genuine sighting, it could be a captive lion that has gotten loose.
