Local family in shock at senseless murder of relative in Lydenberg.
The Lovelock family are reeling from the shock of hearing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Former Newcastle High School learner, Rick Lovelock was murdered during an altercation in the parking lot of a Shoprite store in De Qlerk, Lydenberg last week.
He is brother to well known Newcastle businessman Fred Lovelock.

According to an article in the Steelburger News, Rick became embroiled in an argument with a man he believed had scratched his car with a trolley. The argument escalated and at one point he was hit over the head with a crate. He died at the scene.
The suspect fled and is still at large. Police investigations continue.
The family will be holding a small private service tomorrow.
