Pavement dug up as fibre optics are installed

The work is being carried out as swiftly as possible

Business on Beaconsfield Street has been somewhat disrupted over the past few days. But it is all for a good cause to have the pavement  dug up by workers installing fibre optic cabling.

The trench runs from the post office up Beaconsfield Street with the work been done as quickly as possible to ensure minimum disruption to businesses.

Pieter Bester of the Guinea Fowl said he was impressed in the way the work was being done with attention been given to cleaning up as soon as possible.

The Courier agrees with Pieter and staff have expressed their satisfaction in the ‘pleasant manner in which the work is being done’.

The workers carried until well after businesses closed to ensure that their entrances would be cleared by the time the shops re-opened.

Work is also expected to carry on through other parts of town.
