Veli Nhlengethwa needs your help to become South Africa’s next best gospel artist.
The Mpumalanga Gospel Awards Competition will take place in Nelspruit on December 9 and Veli aims to win the prize for the Best National Male Artist and Best National Gospel Artist.
The final results and the winners are determined by public opinion, which is where your vote comes in.

Who is Veli Nhlengethwa?
Veli was born and raised in oSizweni and has dedicated most of his life to music and making a name for himself in the gospel industry.
From singing in the church choir to performing for his friends and family, music has always been his passion.
“I knew I wanted to pursue music as a career, so I made it my life’s mission to make this happen.”
Veli is no stranger to the spotlight nor the pressure of competitions. He took part and excelled in the INGOMA (Independent National Gospel Music Awards) last year, which changed his life.
He is taking his dreams a step further after compiling his own album in Durban in 2015, titled Isiphephelo (‘My refuge’) and next year February, he will release his first live DVD, which was recorded in Ladysmith.
How can you help Veli win the Mpumalanga Gospel Awards?

Voting closes on December 9 at 9pm.
The finals will be broadcast live on Channel 251 from 6pm.
