Estcourt Hospice shares the joy

At lunch time the children made their way to the training room with the inviting sound of Christmas carols playing in the background, they each enjoyed a serving of delicious chicken biryani

12 children from Wembezi visited Hospice House on December 12.

They were in for a real treat as the Estcourt Hospice Association hosted a Christmas party. The day kicked off with a fun game of soccer followed by refreshments and heart-warming messages from the caregivers.

At lunch time the children made their way to the training room with the inviting sound of Christmas carols playing in the background, they each enjoyed a serving of delicious chicken biryani.

 

Girls received their early Christmas gifts from Social Worker Bongiwe Zwane.

Ahead of dessert, the hospice caregivers received shopping vouchers, which left them gleaming with joy. Each child received goodie bags and gift boxes packed with toiletries, toys, stationery and sweet treats.

Estcourt Hospice Association Caregivers ecstatic with their shopping vouchers.

Estcourt Hospice Association Chairman Anil Sookraj said: “These are the most behaved I have ever seen, and just seeing their smiles of gratitude is a thank you enough.”

A further 11 children who could not attend will have their gifts delivered to them.
