12 injured as 2 taxis crash on the R74
The injured were treated on scene before being taken to hospital
12 people were injured this afternoon (January 11) after two taxis collided head-on along the R74 just outside of Winterton.
Emergency personnel, police, Okhahlamba Fire & Emergency Services and Okhahlamba traffic officers responded to the scene.
One of the drivers was in a serious condition and the jaws-of-life had to be used to free him from the mangled wreckage.

The injured were treated on scene before being taken to various hospitals.
Traffic flow in the area was delayed until the scene was cleared, as only one lane was open to traffic.
A large crowd of people gathered at the scene of the crash.
