The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) is battling due to sewer water flooding their premises.
According to the AACL, this has been going on for the past three weeks, with no help from uThukela.
Raw sewage is flowing into the premises, which is terribly unhygienic for the animals in the kennels.
“The smell is unbearable, not to mention the mess. We have to wear boots when we work and our poor animals are suffering,” says Annamarie Koen of the AACL.

“This is really embarrassing as well, because people have nowhere to walk when they come to visit the kennels or want to adopt a pet,” adds Annamarie.
