Grass cutting and tree felling to begin in Estcourt this week

Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality teams will be embarking on grass cutting duties this week

During the course of this week, residents will be pleased to know that the local municipality is undertaking grass cutting in certain areas. The plan was revealed after the Estcourt News enquired about when this essential service will begin in earnest.

Municipal Manager Patrick Mkhize confirmed that from February 25 to March 1 tree felling and grass cutting will begin.

Due to strong wind on Saturday afternoon, there were reports of trees being uprooted in Elizabeth Avenue and Forderville.

The grass will be cut in the following areas:
Lambert Park, Princess Park, Forderville sports field, Hildene Swimming Pool, Drummond Park, Bert Tucker Swimming Pool, Gateway into Estcourt, Caravan Park, cemeteries in Bank Road, Forderville and Keate Street.

Brush Cutting – Civic town gardens, traffic circle Martin Road, traffic department, Wembezi Stadium, multipurpose centre, library, sports fields (EMahashini, Deport and C-Section and cemeteries.

Weenen – Weenen tennis courts, central business district, Andries Pretorius Road, the post office and works yard and town hall.
