As loadshedding continues to plague South Africa, Dannhauser and Durnacol residents are experiencing a double blow.
Due to the electricity being off so frequently, both towns have suffered water supply interruptions.
Some resident’s of Durnacol have also reported not having water since Sunday.
Amajuba Municipality have addressed the issue of loadshedding, saying that they would have to implement restrictions to help build up water levels in the reservoir.
“To minimize and control the interruptions, we will be forced to open water outlets from 4am to 12pm, then close them from 12pm to 5pm. We will reopen then 5pm to 9pm and then close it again from 9pm to 4am,” a statement from the Municipality read.
The restrictions will continue as long as loadshedding continues.
