Spokesperson of the Newcastle SAPS, Captain Jabulani Ncube said he had known Daniel since 1995 when they worked in the Public Order Police (POP) Unit together.
“Officer Trenerry worked in the POP Unit for more than 10 years,” said Capt Ncube.
Rus sag, ons gaan jou mis “ – Jan-Henk and Myra van Vuuren.
“A man that has passed too soon a man that will be missed during braais, operations at work and a friend 1 000. When I started my career in law enforcement, I worked closely with W/O Naidoo and Daniel, they pulled me by my collar and taught me all I know. Daniel was a man that I could never forget, he had a passion for his work and he loved his family. He always gave his best to provide for everyone. It is one thing to lose a family member, but to lose a team member that went through the toughest with you is indescribable.
“His care, fatherhood and jokes will always be remembered. Until we meet again soldier.” – Morné Potgieter.
