UPDATE: Son of Mayor Vincent Madlala shot dead in Ezakheni

A man thought to be Mayor Vincent Madlala’s son is believed to be one of three people either injured or killed in a shooting in the Ezakheni area earlier this evening.

While the exact nature of the shooting in Ezakheni has not been confirmed, it is believed that the mayor’s son, 28-year-old Siboniso Madlala, together with two friends, was attacked.

Two of the injured are at the St Chad’s Clinic, while one is believed to have died while being rushed to hospital.

It is believed that the mayor was rushing one of the injured to hospital when the man succumbed to his wounds.

They stopped at Ladysmith police station.
