1 killed and 6 injured in collision towards Madadeni
Police officials say the roadway will be closed to traffic for an hour approximately, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes to and from Madadeni.
1 person died following a collision on the P483 this afternoon, between Newcastle and Madadeni.
As a result of the two-vehicle collision, which occurred near the Newcastle Airport turn-off, 6 people were also injured.
Emergency services including fire teams and ambulance services are currently at the scene.
SAPS official, Sergeant Mndaweni says the road will be closed for an hour approximately.
“The road is currently not accessible to motorists, until all due processes are done. Two vehicles were involved in the collision and one passenger died. We advise motorists to use other routes.”
