Women take charge of finances at empowerment workshop
Talks covered reckless spending and maintaining a good credit score.

‘Be in control of your finances, instead of letting them manage you.’
This was the message to the small group of women, who attended Khethelo Women Empowerment (KWE) personal finance breakfast, held on Saturday morning at Ilawu Boutique Hotel.
For guests, it was all about being money-savvy.
Dressed in elegant designer outfits, the women who attended the event received sound financial, investment and life advice from KWE’s Nokuthula Mkhize, and representatives of Hollards and Legal Aid.
Talks covered reckless spending and maintaining a good credit score.
“Allow your debit orders to be processed before spending; don’t spend money you haven’t got,” said Nokuthula.
She explained KWE was a non-profit organisation founded to empower women through education on business, financial, health and legal matters.
Other stakeholders include the Departments of Health and Social Development.
