On Saturday (June 1), Super Spar on Lyell Street was targeted by a group of six armed men.
The men reportedly entered the supermarket in the afternoon where they held up staff and demanded money.
The men made off with a substantial amount of cash and cell phones.

Spokesperson for Ladysmith SAPS, Captain Bongani Nyathi said Ladysmith detectives launched a manhunt, which led to the arrest of a 34-year-old suspect in Weenen.
A large amount of cash was recovered in his possession, the detectives are still tracing the other suspects.
