Community members have been urged to steer clear of the bridge, as work has yet again ceased.
Bridge committee member, Harry Heyns said on Tuesday locals making use of the bridge would do so entirely at their own risk, given the signage clearly stating the area remains under construction.

“It really is not advised that community members use the bridge at the moment, as the contractor is awaiting the municipality to sign certain papers before continuing. Until this is done, things are pretty much at standstill on the site,” he explained.

Heyns also stated that a motorist driving over the bridge while it was still under construction, would possibly destroy the pegs and further delay the completion of the bridge.
