Beware of muthi scam and being robbed after withdrawing money in Ladysmith

Police warn against requesting help from people you don’t know at ATMs

Residents are warned by police to be vigilant when withdrawing money, either from banks or ATMs.

Some people are known to withdraw large sums of money and are robbed just outside the bank by criminals who have been watching them.

Robberies also occur at ATMs, so police warn against requesting help from people you don’t know, as they may be opportunistic crooks looking to lay their hands on your hard-earned money.
