Taxi fully loaded with passengers overturns near Roosboom

Emergency personnel, police and RTI officers responded to the scene

A taxi loaded with passengers overturned on the R103 near Roosboom on Monday (July 1).

The taxi was heading to Estcourt at the time of the crash.

It is believed that the vehicle suffered a mechanical fault which caused the driver to lose control.

15 passengers were injured and had to be treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

The taxi had to be towed away from the scene.
